REPORT:
Submitted by: Tim
Hi Everyone,
I Really had a nice time at
the Smokey Hills round robin last month, Thanks for helping me to feel apart
of!
I do have a correction from last months DCM
report: I stated that District 3 has 51 registered groups and 15 have donated
to Area 35, that number is from contributors to GSO. Thanks Jerry for catching
that.
Contributors to Area 35 are 51 registered
groups and 9 contributing.
Contributors from Our District to District 3
are: 20 groups Contributing, 2 personal contributions (to the best of my
knowledge) and 1 Roundup. I would like
to add the names of the groups here but I wouldn’t want to EMBAROUS SO MANY!! I
would like to say that I realize that there are allot of small meetings DOING
service work and that’s an excuse so if you are one of those please don’t be
offended.
Also if you are not sending
in contributions to one or all of the three entities for a reason and you don’t
tell them they are not doing what you expect out of them they will not get the
hint. The power of the purse is a strong tool but we need to send a letter
telling them we are not happy if this is the case.
I had the pleasure of attending the 31st
annual Area 35 service workshop a couple of weeks ago. WOW what a great
time!!! We were one of the presenters
and I would like to thank Bev. From the Underwood Monday night group & Ed
from the Suit up & Show up group for the wonderful work and enthusiasm! Way
to go! All of the presentations were
great and some surpassed any expectation that I could have ever had.
Please keep Jay C. our Area Archivist and
family in your prayers. Jay: Even though the B.B. says we have ceased
fighting everything and everyone there is a Cancer Disclaimer. Keep up the good
work!!
Our Guest speaker was Leonard Blumenthal
from
The board meets 4 times per year in
As I sat and listened to
Leonard’s story of how he came to believe in the AA program and how his
profession ultimately gave him the rewords in his life that no other could I
began to feel the tears well up with Gratitude in my own eyes. THANK YOU
LENNORD!!
