Opened the meeting with a moment of silence and the Serenity Prayer, then introductions

 

SECRETARY REPORT:  Submitted by:  Sue

            ~No corrections or additions

TREASURY REPORT:  Submitted by:  George unable to attend, e-mailed report to Bill

            ~There is about $2,200 in the account

            ~E-mail any requests for reimbursement to George

            ~Bill moved that we give $100.00 to Alano Club for coffee, use of supplies, etc.

              Jeff said to check groups for GSO number to be sure it is registered

            Treatment Chair Report:  Submitted by:  :  Becky

            ~Fergus Falls needs speakers, she will go there to check about doing alternate

              Mondays

            ~Someone was to check on Bell Hill.  She does not yet know what happened

            ~Have gone to the usual places.  She will check on Pelican Rapids at Jeff's request

 

            Corrections Chair Report:  Submitted by:  Jeff

            ~Robin volunteered to talk to the women at Becker County jail

            ~He goes to various meetings, asks for volunteers, now has another man volunteer

            ~He will be sure all is in order before turning position over to Lyle

            ~Clay County is cared for by Fargo

            ~Becker, Otter Tail, and Wadena are cared for

 

            Round Robin (RR) Chair Report:  Submitted by:  Carol

            ~Has not been able to attend other meetings except for her own 

            ~Ottertail RR is being planned for

            ~Needs to know locations of RR for November and December

                                        

            Webmaster Report:  Submitted by:   John

            ~Can now type information on calendar form, Ed is giving hints on how to handle

           

G.S.R. REPORTS:

            ~In General:  For any meeting changes, e-mail Melvin and Webmaster

            ~Mike, Erhard Wednesday Nite:  discussion group, 7-10 people

            ~Carol, Ottertail Thursday Night:  attendance down, topic meeting, group

              conscience before 3rd meeting of the month, donated to GSO, District and Area,

              meetings going well, changing time to 7 PM  because of darkness and cold

            ~Becky, Former's Group:  steady attendance, a few newcomers, Alanon hosted

              open meeting and pot luck, well attended (about 65), AA and Alanon speakers

            ~Ed (for Erik), Suit Up and Show Up:  topic meeting, one new member, 6 regulars,

              new GSR elected

            ~Gary, Smokey Hills:  discussion group, attendance down but contributions increased

              to almost double, getting RR date set, possibly second Saturday in January

            ~Dave:            `Elizabeth:  2-3 people, tapes with Phil Hagen & Clergy, and Joe

                                      and Chalie tapes

                                    `Underwood:  10-15 people, topic driven

                                    `Battle Lake:  5-10 people, Joe & Charlie tapes

            ~Patti, Perham Solutions:  Thursday night group ended, summer people have left

              and attendance is down for all groups, Wednesday group has begun to use a timer set

              to three minutes, contributions discussed at all meetings

 

OLD BUSINESS:

            ~Area committee meeting on December 6

            ~Becky has had 6 calls on helpline, Ed will take helpline after Becky

            ~Mike - some people do not like Lord's Prayer after meeting.  Group must decide

            ~Questioned state fair booth.  Bill said should be discussed December 6 at Assembly

              in Aitkin, 9:00 until about 3:00

            ~Discussed birthday contributions

            ~Reminder - if anyone wants list of groups, it is 73 pages long

 

NEW BUSINESS:

            ~Update meeting list   

            ~Promote district

            ~Each should check status of their groups

            ~Per Jeff, must stay plugged in to encourage and provide direction to new chairs
