D.C.M. REPORT: Submitted by: Tim

HI Everyone,

Well, as most of you know, we had the Area committee meeting canceled because of poor weather, and the next weekend we only made it ¾ the way to the WCAASC.  I must say that I was very disappointed not making the meeting, and maybe even more to be stranded in Pipestone, of all places.

I am looking forward to the spring assembly – April 14th and 15th, where the GSRs (alternate GSRs if the GSR is not present), DCMs, Area committee chairs, and Area officers will be voting on the agenda items that we are discussing today.  It’s a great experience to see how our delegate, Jerry S., will be bringing our group’s conscious to the General Service Conference in New York.

We have so many great groups in our district; I have a hard time believing that some of them have chosen not to be a part of AA as a whole.  I see it like when we made the decision to do the steps for our sobriety and sanity; if I would have stopped there, I’d be missing our on so many miracles and friendships in my life.

Thanks to Ed S. and Tim B., from District 7, I feel a sense of purpose today!!

Yours in service,

Tim Powers – District 3 DCM

·         Derek – Detroit Lakes Formers Group.  Monday thru Sunday.  Groups are doing well and had a fun luau with games and prizes – Boo-Yeah!  Couple of new people coming.  We haven’t had a steering committee meeting for two months, so we need to do something.
